I have to crush pills several times a day so I can give them to my husband via a G-tube. I have been doing this for about a year and a half. Over time, regular twist top-style pill crushers have made my hands sore and somewhat painful at times and they have aggravated the slight carpal tunnel pain I already have. I have been looking for a long time for a better pill crusher. I tried the Silent Knight crusher a few times, but results of crushing the tablets were mixed, sometimes good, sometimes not. The pill crusher from AB Innovations has been accepted at several of our contract nursing home facilities where the paper medication cups are still preferred. The nurses comment to us that the mechanism is easy to use, and the facility administration prefer the less costly paper medication cups.
